An archive puzzle is the same set of five prices that day’s players saw, scored the same way, out of 500 points. Replaying old days is a good way to calibrate: you start to notice how slowly some prices moved for decades and how sharply others jumped. Every price comes from U.S. government data, and the data page explains where each series comes from and how prices are matched to a year.
